Photo Mounts / Dry Mounting

Dry mounting is the process of mounting an image permanently to a hard surface such as foamcore or gatorboard. Commonly, dry mounting is used for creating presentation boards, floating art pieces, and in custom framing.

Foamcore

White or Black

3/16" Thick

Foamcore is lightweight and most commonly used in framing or temporary signage.

Gatorboard

White or Black

1/8", 1/4", or 1/2" Thick

Gatorboard (gator) is tougher than foamcore and works great in long-term or high-end projects. It is especially popular for modern displays with a french cleat on the back which gives a floating look.

Sintra (PVC)

White, Black, or Various Colors

1/8" or 1/4" Thick

Dibond (Aluminum)

White with Black Core

1/8" Thick

Coroplast

White

4mm, 6mm, or 10mm Thick

Coroplast or fluted plastic is used in outdoor signage. Yard signs are the most common use. The fluted material is designed for water runoff.

Plexi / Acrylic

Clear, White, Black, or Frosted

1/8", 1/4" or 1/2" Thick

Plexi mounts usually involved applied vinyl or wall cling and standoffs. They are most commonly used as indoor signage.
